Growing up in the Ozarks, I remember visiting craft fairs in Branson, Missouri as a
child and seeing old timers crafting wood furniture from water wheel power and
hand tools. The smell of the fresh cut wood and the beauty of the hand hewn
furniture really made an impact on me at a young age. It was always a dream to
make a living working with my hands building beautiful art.
What began as a fascination turned into a lifelong journey, leading me to establish
Casey’s Guitars in the heart of Sherwood, Oregon. Here, I’ve dedicated myself to
creating instruments that are as unique as the people who play them. I believe
wood has its own language I have learned to understand. I listen closely and pay
special attention as it tells me its secrets and what it wants to be along the journey
of becoming a music tool.
My work is deeply rooted in the Pacific Northwest, where I source most of my
materials. The rich, sustainable resources of this region inspire every instrument I
build. I’m committed to using local and regional woods, employing circular
practices, and finishing each piece with traditional methods that respect the
environment and the craft and support other local craftsman.
